| Name: | Z'dyr |
|---|
Z'dyr, formerly Zadzdyr, is a character on Red Star Passes, a RPing MUSH based on the world created in Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series. This LiveJournal is for posting logs involving Z'dyr, as well as vignettes and thoughts that are in character.
Description:
Tall and slender despite his musculature, this pale-skinned young man looks to be in his twenties. A guess would put him at just over six feet tall; nothing's particularly special about his height. What does make him stand out, however, is the curly red-brown hair that sticks out from his head, framing his square face. His eyes are large and soulful, dark brown in colour, his nose is not quite large but wide, rounded rather than pointed and set above thin pink lips. His jaw is square rather than tapered, very defined, and smooth. He's comfortable in his own skin, carrying himself smoothly and without any hint of tension in his frame.
Z'dyr's clothes are smart, though designed for hard work rather than for looking particularly pretty. His boots are more expensive, expected to last, and well cared for despite looking well-used. He wears a bronze rider's knot and the patch of E'sere's Wing.
Date of Birth:
IC: 18/02/425
OOC: 18/08/2007
Position:
Bronze rider
Info:
Z'dyr is a placid guy who's willing to talk about his past - though not all of it. There have been rumours among the contingent who moved from Fort Weyr to Benden that he was a bit of a reckless, irresponsible character. Zad (a nickname he happily goes by) is quick to deny any such rumours though. A little too quick, perhaps.
Whatever they're saying about what he was, it can't be denied that Zad is a nice guy now. Softly spoken and irritatingly calm whatever the situation, he goes through life trying to cause the least trouble possible. He's a character though, with a sense of humour and an extroverted nature; he likes to meet new people and form new friendships. He does pick his friends wisely, however, avoiding those who are only out to cause grief for other people. He also has a habit of talking about people behind their backs, and it's then that his enthusiasm for pointing out people's flaws becomes apparent.
Kayvoth:
Like an ancient bronze casting, sunken and weathered by the deep ocean into a patina of shifting hues, the warm coppery tone of this dragon's hide seems to yield to invasive hues where the light touches it: forelegs and shoulders are washed with the faint suggestion of crimson and puce, and threatening his stocky haunches with the cuprous green of corrosion. The wings, when spread, are translucent, giving the illusion of polished russet metal. Darker shadows mark the headknobs and the sharply tapering muzzle, gathering along the neck ridges and spreading down the broad back and short, thick tail. Sepia-tinted feet throw the paler hooked talons into sharp contrast. Compact and comfortably rounded, he is one of the smaller bronzes, but his form radiates strength and solidity.
OOC:
Z'dyr's name is pronounced 'zuh-DIRE'. The lame story behind his original name (Zadzdyr) is that I was playing Black and White 2 and one of my villagers was called Zabzdyr. One change of letter later and I had a name I loved.
Z'dyr physically resembles Guy Berryman, the bassist for the band Coldplay. Image
